To brew Homestead Blend, you need to heat the water to around 180 F (82 C) and let it steep for three minutes. You can rebrew it for 3+ infusions, if you’d like. If you choose to use this tea medicinally, put one tea bag in 150 ml of water two to four times a day. If your cough persists or is accompanied by a high fever, consult a health care professional.

Ingredient: Sweet Gale
General brewing instructions: Heat water to 185F/85C. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes. May be rebrewed for 2 to 3 infusions.
Gourmet hints: Plain or with honey.
Steeped aroma: fruity, fresh, lively with floral and honey undertones.
Taste: Full body with delicate, earthy, low notes rounding out the mouth.

Gourmet hints: Best unsweetened but nice with mild honey or maple syrup.
Taste: Bright, creamy, supple, mild astringent, medium body “Canada in a Cup.”

Calm Tranquility Sleep

Several of the herbs have been used traditionally in herbal medicine as a sleep aid and to help relieve nervousness.
Ingredients: Chamomile, Oat straw, Lemon balm, Valerian, Catnip, St. John’s Wort, Motherwort, Hops, Bee balm.
General brewing instructions: Heat water to 175F to 180F / 80C to 82C. Steep for at least 3 to 4 minutes. May be rebrewed for 2 to 3 infusions.
Gourmet hints: Unsweetened this tea can be quite bitter. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup, delicious with an orange or lime slice.
Taste: hoppy bitters, combined with fruity aftertaste.
Properties: Manganese, Vitamins A and B complex.
If using medicinally, recommended dose: Three tea bags one time a day. Steep 5 minutes in 150 to 200 mL of water, 30 minutes before bedtime. If conditions persist for more than three weeks, consult your health care provider.

Ingredients: Labrador tea, nettle, peppermint, alfalfa, astragalus, meadowsweet, angelica, spearmint, ginseng.
General brewing instructions: Heat water to 180-185F/82-85C. Steep for at least 3 minutes. May be rebrewed for 2 to 3 infusions. Do not exceed three teabags per day. Sweeten if desired. Wait 30 minutes between cups.
Gourmet Hints: Delicious iced, with lemon and honey.
Taste: Medium-full body, sweet minty with plenty of soft herbaceous notes. Complex and fresh.
Properties: Iron, vitamins A, B complex, C, D, E and K, magnesium, calcium, potassium.
If using medicinally, recommended dose: One tea bag in 150 to 200 mL of water, Do not exceed three teabags per day. Wait 30 minutes between cups.

Taste: Robust, full-body, herbal spice and cooked fruit, robust.
Gourmet hints: Tastes similar to black tea. Drink plain or with honey, and great with lemon. Do not over-steep. Can become tannic if brewed too hot.
