Description
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is a potent water-soluble antioxidant involved in numerous biochemical pathways. It enhances the immune system; it supports connective tissue formation; it is necessary for phase I liver detoxification enzymes and to help quench free-radicals in the liver; vitamin C raises glutathione levels, thus enhancing phase II detoxification; it is involved in bile acid synthesis; and, vitamin C is essential to cardiovascular and neurological function. Vitamin C is essential for the maintenance of healthy cartilage and for wound healing.

Medicinal Ingredients (per half scoop - 2.75 g):
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) --- 1,175 mg
Calcium (Calcium Ascorbate) --- 175 mg
Magnesium (Magnesium Ascorbate) --- 175 mg
Potassium (Potassium Ascorbate) --- 49.5 mg
Non-medicinal Ingredients: none.
Recommended Dose
Mix 1/2 to 1 scoop with water or juice daily or as recommended by your health professional.
Warnings
Do not use it if the security seal inside the cap is broken. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
Risk Information:
Do not take two (2) hours prior to or until four (4) hours after taking other medications. Where impaired renal function exists, the use of potassium supplements should be monitored closely. The use of potassium supplements with potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone, triamterene, amiloride) may lead to hyperkalemia.
